Group outplacement solutions

When a number of people are affected by redundancy, interactive group outplacement ensures they get help to quickly find a new job.

Our programs provide career transition support tailored to participants’ needs.

We also run outplacement workshops designed to accommodate a range of learning styles.

Whether it’s a large or small assignment, we can help you protect your brand and support your affected employees. We support employees across all sectors and levels, providing cost effective and tailored assistance to suit any requirements and budget.

Our process

We work with you to identify and understand the context of your organisation’s requirements, the background to your decision and planned organisational direction.
Our indepth scoping process includes planning and developing timescales to meet expectations and agreed outcomes.
We propose an effective volume outplacement solution tailored to suit your business needs and schedule.
You receive confidential progress reports on affected employees to ensure services are delivered as agreed.

One point of contact

Participants have access to one point of contact to support their career transition journey, providing them with practical job search help and emotional support. This account management approach ensures consistent and accessible service delivery.

Delivery can be in person or remote (via phone or online).

Group outplacement program

Our group outplacement program Careers in Motion covers:

  • Coming to terms with redundancy.
  • Defining a career vision.
  • Creating resumes, cover letters and applications.
  • Developing job search strategies.
  • Succeeding at interviews and negotiations.

We connect participants with a relevant network of recruiters, hiring managers, support functions and events to facilitate their transition.

Coaching is provided as pre-booked drop-in sessions (recommended one hour per employee), using bespoke resources and materials.

Clients receive confidential progress report on affected employees to ensure services are delivered as agreed.

Group outplacement workshops

Our career coaches run workshops across Australia. These can be tailored around the career transition needs of your organisation and employees. We offer half or full day workshops for up to 12 individuals per session.

Workshops incorporate visual, audio and interactive exercises and real-life scenarios. This content is combined with comprehensive workbooks and training materials.

At the end of a workshop people leave feeling more positive and enthusiastic. They also take away a toolkit of career information and skills to make their job search more successful.

Our most popular group outplacement workshops include:

Moving forward positively

Maintaining motivation following redundancy.

Career strengths and achievements

Learning how to tailor them to market the right story to potential employers.

Writing winning resumes and applications

How to catch the reader’s attention and secure a job interview.

Succeeding at interviews

Making a great impression and standing out from the competition.

Program + workshops for multiple employees

A blended group outplacement approach can be more cost effective for larger numbers of people.

  1. Participants attend facilitated workshops with their former colleagues. We focus on topics specific to their workplace and industry, and share diverse group experiences.
  2. Solo coaching sessions then provide an opportunity to delve deeper into the guidance provided at group sessions or cover new topics.
  3. This one-to-one outplacement support can include further help with resume writing and applying for specific jobs, networking avenues or conducting mock job interviews.

Redundancy announcement support

Our team can be onsite to support and assist in explaining the decision from an objective perspective, keeping the emotional and practical impact in mind. This can help your people to accept the decision and focus on moving forward.

Expert team

Our consultants are experts in their field with a wealth of experience across a variety of industries.

They provide practical job search advice and up-to-date information on the current job market.

Totally enjoyed it and learned a lot in a comfortable setting. The knowledge of the presenter was really helpful and it was easy to understand. I will be able to put lots of the job search advice into practice.

A very informative workshop, I gained a lot of benefit. The content was well presented and relevant to what I want to do in my career. And it was great to get some new techniques I hadn’t come across before.
